David LAmb

David Lamb has spent his career advising companies in publishing and digital media. As president of GSL Publishing Associates for fifteen years he handled the sale of consumer publishers including Motorbooks, Avalon, Publishers Group West, Timber Press, and Sterling Publishing. His buy-side clientele has included Chronicle Books, Workman Publishing, Egmont, ProQuest, and HarperCollins.

David previously was a Managing Director at Veronis Suhler Stevenson where he had transaction responsibility covering all communications industry sectors and had a role in $8 billion of completed transactions. At VSS his clients included Reed Elsevier, Southam, R.L. Polk, Cambridge Scientific, and News Corp.

David began his career as Director of New Media at IDG subsidiary Link Resources, and he owned and operated self-publisher Vantage Press from 2009 to 2012. He holds an A.B. from Harvard College. David is concurrently partner of STM Advisers LLC, a financial advisory firm serving scientific, technical, medical and scholarly publishers.



Susan Reich's experience in book publishing includes executive positions at three of the 'Big Five.' Most recently she served eight years as President of Publishers Group West, the leading distributor of independent publishers and since 2007 a member of The Perseus Books Group.

Prior to PGW's acquisition by Perseus, Susan was for almost a decade President of Avalon Publishing Group as it grew to become a $30+ million independent publisher. Avalon's imprints include Rick Steves, Moon Guides, Carroll & Graf, Seal Press, and Thunder's Mouth Press. Avalon was also acquired by Perseus.

Earlier in her career Susan served as Publishing Director of Harper San Francisco, as VP Associate Publisher of Random House, and as Marketing Manager at Simon & Schuster.

Susan began her career as a bookseller with Kroch's and Brentano's in Chicago and ultimately became Director of Merchandising for Waldenbooks. She holds a B.A. from Indiana University, and lives and works in Oakland.
